The UIM Milazzo Ocean Grand Prix, due to be contested this weekend (16th-18th September), has been postponed. The decision was taken once it became evident that some specific permissions to race had yet to be granted. It is hoped that these will be in place within days and the GP rearranged for late September or early October.

“It is with great regret that we have to do this, particularly in light of the cancellation of the Dutch GP,” explains Joseph Azzopardi, Event Director, Ocean Grand Prix. “We know that this is not the way to run a world championship but unfortunately circumstances have conspired against us. We are working closely with local organisers to resolve the situation and present Milazzo with a spectacular Grand Prix weekend.”
“I feel particulary sorry for the teams who have demonstrated great commitment to the championship, all of whom put on such excellent shows in Malta and Siracusa.”
